Great Bend High School data
The numbers are in for Great Bend High School’s graduation rates and withdrawal data.
The graduation statistics are always a year behind, so the new information revealed that Great Bend High School graduated 84 percent of its students in 2015 that started as freshmen and finished in four years. That percentage is up from 78.4 percent in 2014.
As for the withdrawal numbers, USD 428 Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum John Popp says those numbers have gone down over the last three years.

The withdrawal numbers are current through 2016 and Great Bend had 31 students withdrawal this past school year. 22 males and 9 females decided to quit high school for a variety of reasons. Last year the withdrawal number was at 41.
Popp says there was a trend of dropouts among an age group over the past two years. The highest amount of withdrawals came from students 16 years of age in 2015, and a year later the highest number of dropouts were 17-year olds.
