gbcf logoThe Barton County Quality of Life Endowment Fund will be accepting grant applications beginning April 15, 2016.  The intent of the fund is to improve the quality of life in Barton County, Kansas. Projects eligible for funding must make a visible enhancement to the community.  Eligible organizations must have a 501(c)(3) designated IRS status.  The application deadline is June 15, 2016.

Each year, CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions employees make grant recommendations to the foundation board of directors regarding the charitable agencies or projects they wish to support.  With each grant awarded from the Barton County Quality of Life Endowment Fund, CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions furthers their corporate philanthropy and community involvement.

The Barton County Quality of Life Endowment Fund was established in 2009 through the Golden Belt Community Foundation, when CUNA Mutual Group acquired CPI Qualified Plan Consultants, Inc. (CPI) and made a generous donation establishing the corporate grant making fund. A corporate donor advised fund allows a company to establish a fund in their name, make charitable gifts, and remain involved by recommending grants to charitable agencies or projects.

Interested organizations may apply online at www.goldenbeltcf.org/Receive.  Questions regarding this grant opportunity should be directed to Sue Cooper, Program Officer, with Golden Belt Community Foundation at (620) 792-3000 or sue@goldenbeltcf.org.
