Staff from Cheyenne Bottoms weigh in on hunting ethics

droneThe old-fashioned hunters may argue the new technology used on hunts is cheating and that it is ruining the sport. Trail cameras were the start and now hunters have thoughts of using drones to view potential hunting areas for game.

Biologist Charlie Swank at Cheyenne Bottoms says many states are outlawing drones in their hunting regulations.

Swank says the federal regulations state no one shall hunt migratory water fowl with the assistance of aircraft, ruling out the use of drones.

Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Manager Karl Grover believed hunting should be more than a numbers event.
