One of the biggest challenges from this past weekend’s Labor Day Celebration in Hoisington was how successful it has become.
Hoisington Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President Kristi Lovett says there were a number of late entries for the parade on Monday making execution tricky but everything still ran smoothly.

The 120th Labor Day Celebration began last Friday with a community barbecue and concluded Monday evening with events scheduled after the parade.
Outside of the parade, Lovett says two of the bigger hits this past weekend included the carnival and street dance.

Hoisington High School class reunions, residents, and people from all over the community also enjoyed kids’ events, pageants, demolition derby, car show, and concerts during the four-day affair.
