Darrin Hirsh
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office media log listed that former Kansas Highway Patrolman Darrin Hirsh was released Tuesday from their custody and sent to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Barton County Judge Ron Svaty sentenced Hirsh to 18 months of incarceration for his convictions of aggravated assault, criminal threat, and domestic battery. Hirsh’s ex-wife, Candace Hirsh, stated Darrin held a pistol to her head on March 12, 2013 and made threats to her and their three sons.
The KDOC’s website showed that Hirsh, age 39, was admitted to El Dorado Correctional Facility on May 24, 2016.
Hirsh has already served 141 days in jail since his December 22, 2015 sentencing. Those days will be subtracted from his 18-month sentence.
