Many plans and activities get scheduled over Labor Day Weekend, and this year the City of Great Bend will have its share of excitement downtown.
At least three Great Bend High School reunions are planning to celebrate over the holiday weekend in Jack Kilby Square. The 1996 class wanted to have a big shindig at the square.
The event kept growing and according to Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes the celebration is a good way to welcome people home.

Hayes says the 20th and 25th class reunions have organized the event at the square with live music and bounce houses. The 1991 and 1996 classes should be a nice boost to the Great Bend economy for the weekend.

The public will be allowed to come listen to the music throughout the day too. Jack Kilby Square will be open until midnight for the event on September 3.
