With the first official day of spring around the corner, it’s time for new beginnings.
The City of Great Bend will be celebrating fresh starts for multiple big projects during the month of March.
Great Bend’s new Holiday Inn Express & Suites officially opened its doors March 1. Noble Hospitality is in charge of managing the development of the new Holiday Inn Express built in Great Bend.
Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jan Peters was the first guest to stay in the 78-room hotel on 10th Street.

Holiday Inn will hold its grand opening on March 17 from 5-7 p.m.
The new addition of housing at Amber Meadows will conduct a ribbon cutting Wednesday, March 9 at 4 p.m. just north of Veterans Memorial Park.
The rebuilt Camp Aldrich is back after it was destroyed in a fire nearly two years ago. The new Camp Aldrich northeast of Great Bend will host a Business After Hours gathering on March 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
