The Thelma Faye Harms Stage and Clayton L. Moses Bandshell was on full display during last weekend’s June Jaunt festival in Great Bend. The bandshell received some upgrades over the past several months of construction. An expanded stage, updated restrooms, a driveway next to the stage, and a water splash pad were all part of the plan.
A final change order was presented at this week’s Great Bend City Council meeting and City Administrator Howard Partington says the city is getting $525 back.

This was the third change order for the project at Jack Kilby Square but the first that sent money back to the city.
Wiens and Company Construction out of Hutchinson handled the project that cost over $355,000. The Thelma Faye Harms Charitable Trust donated over $300,000 for the renovations and in return the city named the stage after Thelma Faye Harms.
