Barton County residents are invited to attend a dinner and conversation about growing and using local foods, community wellness, and having enough healthy food for all, on Wednesday, Sept. 28 in Great Bend or on Thursday, Sept. 29 in Hoisington.
The dinner and discussion on Wednesday is set for 6:30pm at Barton County Health Department WIC Conference Room, and will focus on food and wellness in southern Barton County.
Thursday’s dinner and discussion will be held at the Hoisington Activity Center Meeting Room at 6:30pm and will focus on food and wellness in northern Barton County.
Barton County residents will have an opportunity to talk about some of the challenges of providing and securing healthy foods in our local food system, as well as talk about what our community is doing well. Community members also hope to identify opportunities that we have as a community to improve access to healthy foods for everyone.
Please join us to learn more about what we can do together to ensure healthy food for everyone. Community Connections dinners are sponsored by Be Well Barton County and Barton County Health Department.
