In 2014, the Barton County Road and Bridge Department purchased a Bobcat Track Loader, with pallet forks, auger, grapple bucket, and snow bucket for a combined price of $53,719. Under the offer made at the time of purchase from Bobcat of Salina, the County exercised the $3,000 “buyback” option and received a new 2015 model with full warranty.
Road and Bridge Director Dale Phillips says the Bobcat is used almost every day by his crews.
