Kansas Hunter Education Internet Assisted course

gbrc logo 2011The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be sponsoring a Kansas Hunter Education Internet Assisted course on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Great Bend Police Training Facility (995 K Ave.).

This class will fill up fast so get pre-registered early for the course at www.safehunters.com before completing the no-cost on-line course at www.kdwpt.state.ks.us.  Students are required to bring their results from the chapter quizzes that they will take off this site.  Students must print the “completion certificate” after completing the on-line course work and turn it into the instructor at the start of the Field Day class.  The on-line course work could take up to 5 hours or longer to complete depending on the student’s reading comprehension skills.  Class is limited to 21 participants at the beginning of the class.

Students will be tested over the on-line course materials.  A pre-test will be administered at the beginning of the Field Day.  A passing score of 22 correct answers out of 25 questions is required to proceed with the rest of the course.  If a student does not pass this test, they will NOT be allowed to continue the class.
