Hoisington residents have seen the mounds of dirt piled up to south the railroad tracks on the west side of Main Street for a while now. Residents are waiting for those dirt piles to eventually evolve into a Sonic Restaurant.
Hoisington City Manager Jonathan Mitchell says the Sonic owners hope to begin construction by the end of October.

Brick for the Sonic in Hoisington will be used from Kansas Brick & Tile in Hoisington. Along with indoor seating, the restaurant will employ 30 part-time and 15 full-time workers.
